October 3, 2025 – Banca Transilvania integrates the RoPay and RoPay Alias features into the BT Pay app, offering customers a new way to transfer money directly from their phone — without needing an IBAN.
With RoPay, individual customers can transfer money by scanning a QR code, making face-to-face transfers quick and easy. With RoPay Alias, they can send money instantly, free of charge, 24/7, using just a phone number.
